Custom computer kits containing everything you need to build
a computer
Computer kits are a great way to
build your first computer.
This way you don't have to worry about missing parts,
connectors, or picking something that doesn't work together.
The computer kits listed here are what I would put together if
someone asked me what I would currently build. I typically
build a bang for your buck system. I don't often build the
fastest. Why? Today's best technology is tomorrows
deal.
This make not sound important to you, but let me put it to you
in money terms. A $3000 dollar computer system can be made
with faster components for under $1000 usually in 6 months or less.
TIP! By being smart
about how you spend
your
money, you'll find more often then not, you will have a faster
computer because you can do 3 upgrades when they can do one.
That being said, at least once in your life, if you can, I
would
recommend you get a cutting edge computer. I did it once, it
was
great. Now I play it smart. I couldn't believe how
fast
parts prices drop the first time I went "all out".
A Custom Build Your Own
Computer Kit
If
a generic kit just isn't right for you, or you have never built a
computer and would like to make sure it's a success. This is
probably a good option. You pick your budget, tell me what
you
want to do with the computer, then let me piece it together and test
all the components together before you get it.
The advantage to
this is simple. Your system will be tested and working, the
BIOS
will be set up properly, and you also the the advantage of going with a
more advanced setup without having to learn everything on your first
build. Learn more about custom build your own
computer kits.
Testimonials
"Earlier this year I
purchased a computer that was built by Dave. I wanted a computer that
would allow me to browse the internet with minimal loading time. The
computer I received more than exceeded my expectations. I
went from a computer that took up to several minutes to load a page to
a computer that is so fast that the page is up as I'm releasing the
mouse button. I am very impressed with the quality of the hardware I
received. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great quality
computer." - Lisa Dyck

Typically when I put together a power PC, I go a little to
the extremes, this month, I've got a great kit that will act as a power

$600 and this thing will have no trouble gaming or doing any of the
tasks you want to throw at it.

it'll
do just about anything you throw at it very well and at an incredible
price.
May 2011 Gaming Cheapness
Build
If
you don't even have $700 for last months build, these $600 computer
kits should be
able to do much the same for a hundred bucks less. Yes, you
won't
be able to crank everything, but you'll still be able to play it with
decent graphics and speed.
April 2011 Flight
Simulator Computer
Not

January 2011 Overclock Me
Please Build
Some
CPU's just seem to be built to overclock, this is definitely one of
those, a friend mentioned it, and after researching I must admit he's
right, what a CPU for a steal of a price. Check the
overclock benchmarks and you'll
see what I mean.

Facebook, play some basic games, check email, and use this computer as
a home workstation, all under an extremely tight budget. This
thing is buildable for about $350 dollars, and the parts are decent.
October 2010 Winter
Computer Budget Build
This
computer is built for a couple of reasons. First, not to
sacrifice performance, the second was to get performance for a really
good price. Although you won't get the latest and greatest,
most
people will find this PC has more than enough power for what they want
to get done.
September 2010 Best Bang
for your Buck Computer Kit
Most
of my computers that I've put together here have a specific budget in
mind. This computer was built just using the most power for
the
least amount of money ideal. Computers built this way last a
long
time before they're outdated, and comparatively they don't lose their
value as fast.
August 2010 Back to
School Build
Yeah
I know, those of you that are going back really don't want to hear that
it's back to school time, but a new computer may help make it a bit
more bearable. The kit below contains all the parts you need
to
build a back to school computer for about $400. Designed only
for
school work and applications I've kept a 3d card out to keep the budget
price.
August 2010 Gaming or
Budget Build Computer Kit
This
computer build releases a lot of new technology for a price you really
can't argue with. If you're simply a home computer user, this
system will do it all with a 6 core processor. If you want to
game with it, we just tack on a solid state hard drive, because the
price is too good to resist, and a video card and you've got a serious
gaming computer.
July 2010 Gaming Computer
for just under $1200
Because
I had to deny a request for a custom computer simply because I don't
know how to get it to SRI Lanka, this system is exactly what they
ordered. If you happen to have a little more money to spend,
RAM,
an additional hard drive to make a
raid
computer, or a bigger video card would be avenues to upgrade
this already powerful build.
June 2010 Extreme
Overclock Ready Gamers Build
This
computer is designed for those who have WAY too much extra money
burning holes in their pockets. This is the once in a
lifetime
cutting edge computer. It is nothing less than extreme.
May 2010 Gaming Build For
Under $1000
Focused
on the new 6 core CPU by AMD, this build is for those who want a fast
gaming computer, but just don't have a ton of cash to throw around.
It should easily handle any game on the market, and multi
task
all night long.
April 2010 $500
Home Computer Kit
If
you've got a tight budget, this is a great computer, all for a great
price, with a new 6 core AMD processor. It's also a really
straight forward computer kit if you're looking for a first time build.
The videos you find of me assembling a computer on this
website
are of a computer almost identical to this.
April 2010 Solid State
Steak Eating Animal
This
is my first solid state hard drive build gaming system, so lets take
out all the stops and make this thing shine. If you are
looking
for a budget build, check the March kit, you'll be better off.
March 2010 Cheap
Computer Kit
You can never build a computer system for free, but I made an
attempt
at it anyway and the build here is what I came up with. This
build totaled up for under $260, and although it's not a gaming
computer, it should do everything else just fine.
All the components checked out with great reviews so it should
stand
the test of time as well. If you want a gaming computer, I
would recommended going with something more.
February 2010
Extreme Gaming Computer Kit
All
the computer prices have shifted in a nice direction. New
technology is around the corner, and the industry is starting to feel
the pinch from the post Christmas lull. What does this mean
for
you? It's a great time to build a computer, as your dollar
will
go really far.
This build is cutting edge designed for the gaming
soul in mind. It will have no problem chewing threw heavy
graphic
applications and cutting through anything you can throw at it.
As
those of you keeping up with computer parts have guessed.
It's an
Intel based build. All this for under $1200.
January 2010 Barebone Kit
Ram prices have finally dropped to be somewhat back in reason.
Inspired by this, I came up with a very solid build with a
tight
budget in mind. The kit below was put together for under
$550.
Putting together a system for less money that outperforms
this
one is gonna be a challenge.
