Shopping For a Motherboard

My LGA-775 socket Asus motherboard is broken along with CPU (Pentium Dual Core). I'm shopping for a new motherboard bundle but I don't know what platform is more reliable. I ocasionally use computer for games (Video card 8600GT) and most of the time on Internet. I would like to use my old RAM DDR2-800 in the new motherboard. More than two memory slots will be great. I do not intend to make another major upgrade for the next 2-3 years. What is best on the market for about $250?

For around $250 and wanting to stay with your DDR2, your options are very slim as far as motherboards go. I've been in this boat before. For this case, I'd recommend going with an Asus M2N68-AM PLUS with an AM3 Phenom II 1055T Six Core Processor. This combo should pack a lot of punch for that budget.
