Not able to ping pc on LAN

My pc and my friends pc are on same network but on different switches...my pc not able to ping my friends pc.

Typically this is because the switches are not connected properly. Refer to the switches owners manual and make sure they are linked properly. Putting them on the same switch and trying the ping test again would reveal if it's the switch setup, or a configuration problem with the PC. It could be something as simple as a firewall on one of the computers.
