My First Build Was Easier Than I Thought

Can you imagine someone about the age of 18 without a computer now-a-days? Hard isn't it. A computer is vital for everyone from kids to older people. When I entered my high school, most of my friends have computers in their home. At that time I don't even know how to use a computer and for what purposes it can be used, but I still decided to buy one for me. Before asking, my father I discussed with my friends about the price, where to buy and what will be the best system configuration, to get some idea. Then I asked my father to buy me a computer. He didn't even ask me why I need one now, instead he accepted to buy me a computer.

I got money from my father since I decided to buy it on my own. I went to the bazaar in our city which is famous for computers and electronic items. Since I have discussed with my friends about the shops I went to the shop advised by my friends. I gave the configuration list to the shop keeper and bought the computer components to be assembled.

Since I don't know how to assemble the computer of my own I sought the help of my friend. We both started assembling my computer. I did everything as per my friends instruction. As a first step I opened the package of computer case and unscrewed one side of it to open it. Keeping it flat on the table, I placed the motherboard in such a way that it matches the screw holes provided in the case. Then I placed the motherboard flat and kept the lever on the CPU socket open. Then, holding the CPU I lowered it into the socket, as per the arrow indication in the CPU. Then I placed the RAM in the slot provided in the motherboard. After that my friend instructed me to place the hard drive and connect its cables appropriately and then I placed the CD drive in its slot and connected it through data and power cables. I have lot of doubts regarding those power cables and data cables at that time since it was very confusing to me.

After connecting everything we closed the case and kept it upright and now I connected the mouse, keyboard and monitor on the backside of the computer case. Then I connected power cable to monitor from the UPS and then powered on the UPS and subsequently my system. It started working fine once connected. I almost got irritated on doing this whole process but when it started working fine I forgot all the irritations. First I thought I need to be an expert to assemble a computer, but it wasn't as difficult as I thought. Now I can assemble a PC of my own.
