Lightscribe Software Download

For those of you who would like to try, or already have lightscribe, you'll need to do a little downloading to get the most of your drive. In the downloads section of Lightscribe website you'll find the lighscribe system software. You'll need to install this to make the drive enabled in your operating system.

To have this technology working for you, you'll have to have a drive that supports lightscribe, then you'll need specific lightscribe disks, and then burning software that supports it.

You can find all of these for free from the lightscribe website. They also have a couple of free trials if you don't like the defaults. Personally, I really like the disks, although they take a while to burn the image onto the front of the disks, it really looks great, and the whole sticker thing through the ink jet really didn't work for me.

I think this idea is great innovation and can't wait to see if they develop color in the future, that would be down right awesome.
