Removing the Battery by: Sony Vaio
I also have sony vaio. I was told that removing the battery and using the laptop as desktop is also good (considering I don't have to move it around much). So I was wondering, should I do that or is it gonna do the laptop bad more than good?

Some electronic devices won't function unless the battery is in the device. If you have a lithium ion battery, (most electronics and laptops), you can likely operate the device without having the battery in the device you'll be better off. Although a laptop battery doesn't have any memory, having these devices plugged in all the time will shorten the amount of time the battery will supply power. For myself, about one in 30 charges I'll drain the battery all the way and charge it back up. Keep in mind as well, you should never store a lithium ion battery without a charge.
