Computer Monitor or Flat Screen

To run 2 monitors off 1 computer, does it require additional software or hardware? And is it beneficial to run flat screen TVs instead of plain computer monitors as long as they have the correct plug-ins, especially if the price is about the same?

The computer monitor will usually have the better picture. If you can, try before you buy and just get the one that looks the best to you. After all, you'll be the one using it.
