May 2010 6 Core AMD Gamer Build Under $1000
This machine is designed with 2 things in mind. First,
wanting to have the best performance money can buy, but at the same
time staying in a reasonable budget. For what you see, this computer
will handle any game currently on the market. You may not get
to crank everything, but it will definitely look good.
As far as multi tasking and handling applications, all 6 cores of this
animal will tackle what you can throw at it. It will multi
task very well, especially when packed with a 64 bit version of
Windows 7.
If you prefer to get faster reads and writes, add a 2nd hard drive of
the same model and
set up a
raid. For the price of the drive, you really can't
go wrong and the performance gains are well worth it.
TIP!
On this build to really give you a boost, add Windows Readyboost to
get the most speed available.
