March 2011, My Computer
March 2011 it seems to be the time of the year where I decide to build
My Computer.
For those wondering what my home computer might look like, this build
is going to be exactly what I used. Yes this ones gonna be a
good one.
Initially I was going to use a green edition Western Digital hard drive
for a backup drive, however, this changed because the reviews on the
green drives as well as longevity seems to be an issue with the size I
was interested in. As a result, it's going to be 2 black
edition drives. One will be my applications, the other will
be the backup.
You'll also notice a solid state hard drive in this build. I
use it for a couple of things. First, Windows goes on the drive.
Second, I'll drop a game or 2 on it. Everything
else, little programs, movies whatever else I have for data ends up on
the Black Edition Western Digital drive.
TIP!
With a computer build like this you won't see a benefit from using Windows
Readyboost.
