My CMOS battery is not working when I change the battery, it automatically gets discharged.

Answer

On some motherboards, there is a clear CMOS jumper located right next to the battery on the motherboard. Check to make sure there is no jumper there. If there is, simply remove it. The jumper is a short to the battery and will drain it quickly if left on.

If there is no jumper, you should contact the manufacturer of the motherboard if you still have warranty as it's likely a fault in the motherboard.
